Minor quake jolts Lamphun | Bangkok Post: news


An earthquake with a 3.1 magnitude hit Muang district of Lamphun province in the North on Sunday morning, but there are no reports of damage or casualties. The Thai Meteorological Department's seismology office reported that the quake occurred at 7.39am with an epicentre in Muang district of Lamphun, about 3 kilometres underground. The quake was also felt by the people in Hang Dong, Saraphi and Muang district of nearby Chiang Mai province. There were no reports of damage or casualties.
